De las tres que se colaron a la red, 'The Scale' es la que me conquistó de nuevo a la primera escucha (como 'PTTF'), me encantó la atmósfera obscura que dan los sintes desde el principio y la guitarra contundente de Daniel, y el solo (no sé si sea de Daniel o de Paul, pero creo que aquí utilizaron de nuevo el ebow como en 'TYOAC'), todavía tengo que analizarla más, voy a pasarla a mi mp3 player para escucharla con detalle, me falta ponerle atención a la batería y al bajo, y buscar la segunda guitarra. La letra es hermosa, abstracta e irreal, me pregunto qué pensaba Paul cuando la escribió. Mi única queja es que es demasiado cortita, pero dicen que 'de lo bueno, poco', y esto aplica totalmente a 'The Scale' que se ha convertido en otra de mis favoritas y en mi humilde opinión, una más de sus master pieces.

No dice 'sun', dice en realidad 'son', también viene en el booklet de la edición japonesa.

Eso de moneda por ojo, quizá se refiera a una antigua tradición (curiosamente se tenía en diversas partes del mundo) que consistía en que cuando una persona moría, le colocaban un par de monedas sobre los ojos cerrados, porque se tenía la creencia de que debían cruzar un río muy largo y profundo hacia el otro mundo. Con esas monedas debían pagar al balsero (la muerte) para que los atravesara sanos y salvos.
